Sean Ramon Montague is a Baltimore Maryland based Artist/ Illustrator/ Entrepreneur with over 30 years of professional art experience!
A 1987 graduate from the legendary Baltimore City College, Sean Ramon Montague received a Full Tuition Art Scholarship funded by Baltimore City College High School to attend Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where he studied Illustration / Visual Communication and mastered the technique of Relief Block Printmaking!
Graduating from both Maryland Institute College of Art and Howard University, in 1992, with BFA’s in Visual Communication, Illustration, and Graphic Design / Printmaking Minor & Book Publishing, respectively.
Sean Ramon Montague traveled internationally to study art and culture; Greece (1991), Senegal (1996), and the Bahamas (2001).
Founded Ethnicitees, Inc. in 1990, with the mission of raising educational awareness of the global accomplishments of Black people, Ethnicitees has established a national and international presence of its products through festivals, museums, giftshops, online presence and more.
In December 2018, Ethnicitees LLC launched Ethnicitees LLC Cultural Marketplace; our retail store location inside Security Square Mall in Woodlawn /Windsor Mills MD! Ethnicitees, LLC moved its retail operations to Prince Georges County, from Security Mall to Prince Georges County with our Grand Opening at the Bowie Town Center; Black Friday, November 29, 2019 and lasted until October 2022. For 4 years, we operated our Bowie Tiwn Store and 2 years at our Pop Up Shop store at Mall In Columbia and Lexington Msrket in Baltimore City. Family chronic health issues forced the closure of our stores and shifted out focus to mobile vending at festivals, museums, cultural centers, etc. and online shopping!
Ethnicitees, LLC was proudly featured on both QVC and HSN, Spotlighting Black businesses throughout the nation, which gave our brand international exposure! Despite the global hardships of the global pandemic, Ethnicitees LLC has successfully received funding through the crisis, including crowdfunding via Kiva Baltimore and COVID 19 economic business and artistic assistance from federal SBA and local government grant and loan sources! Ethnicitees LLC has proudly built a brand legacy that has now exceeded 34 years!
